Coordinating leaves of absence (LOAs) under the various federal and state statutes is one of the most daunting challenges faced by employers. Employees go on leave and employers struggle to know how to handle the absence–what they can and cannot do to get the work done.

Additionally, the obligation to engage in the interactive process and provide reasonable accommodations presents daily challenges for employers as each situation and each employee can require unique administration.

This free presentation will provide a high level overview of the methods for addressing LOA’s and Reasonable Accommodations, the obligations of employers, and provide “boots on the ground” suggestions and sample tools.
